group consisted of eight companies, covering the transportation
equipment manufacture, airport, freight forwarding and export packing
service companies. Most of the participants are the first time to
China. They were very excited in exploring China’s rapidly expanding
economy, especially the big potential market in the logistics industry,
and experienced the diverse business cultures as well.
participating in the STEP program, it was a real “eye-opener” of the
great potential opportunity with China. Better recognition,
understanding, and awareness of the potential trade success Mi-Jack
could enjoy with establishing new contacts in China. Over all, good
organization and effort to assure trip was meaningful and productive,”
said by Daniel Reis, Vice President of Port Division, Mi-Jack Products.
STEP program provided a great opportunity to explore the possibilities
with a multitude of companies at the expo. The state Office of Trade
and Investment and International Trade Center at GSU did a phenomenal
job in preparing, coordinating and executing the objectives. Their
personal touch, introductions, and translation services were top notch,
as well as instrumental in match making and introductions to like mined
Asian companies,” said by Bob Cleary, president of AAB Global Logistics.
well as the positive feedback from businesses, there were twenty
students from Governors State University who attended the logistics
trade show in Shanghai, as part of their study abroad program in China.
They worked alongside with the IL businesses to assist them in
promoting IL products and service to the overseas clients. That would
be a good connection with the exporting businesses and education.
